The FLOMEC® OM series oval gear meters provide exceptional accuracy and repeatability in a wide range of applications measuring clean liquids. Direct volumetric measurement from the positive displacement design gives you a flow measurement that is unaffected by changes in temperature, pressure, or viscosity. Oval Gear measuring principle:

Oval gear flow meters are positive displacement flow meters. The pressure of a liquid passing through the precision chamber causes the internal gears to rotate. Each rotation of the gears registers a fixed volume of liquid with the embedded magnets initiating a high-resolution pulse train output.

Simple low-cost flow meter for a wide variety of applications.

The FLOMEC® series of turbine meters provide high accuracy flow measurement at a low cost. With a wide range of materials available to suit various applications, the internal parts are simple to replace for easy maintenance. Ideal for batching fuel products, water, chemicals, acids and other industrial fluids.

Turbine measuring principle:

Turbine flow meters use the mechanical energy of the fluid to rotate a pinwheel (rotor) in the flow stream. Blades on the rotor are angled to transform the energy from the flow stream into rotational energy, when the fluid moves faster, the rotor spins proportionally faster. As the magnets in the blades spin past the sensor, the turbine meter generates a frequency and voltage signal which is proportional to the fluid flow rate

Versatile and economical for flow measurement in large pipes.

The FLOMEC® DP series insertion meters utilise a paddlewheel design to measure the flow of water, fuels, and other low viscosity liquids.  The insertion meter provides a moderately accurate flow reading at an exceptionally low cost of ownership with a simple and reliable design, and various options for outputs, displays and hazardous area approvals.

Insertion measuring principle:

Paddlewheel flow meters use the mechanical energy of the fluid to rotate the rotor.  When the fluid moves faster, the rotor spins proportionally faster.  Magnets in the rotor blades pass by the sensor and generate a frequency voltage signal which is proportional to the fluid flow rate.

  • Flow velocities from 1 m/sec, to 10 m/sec
